Response: I’m not upset about what happened with my card; I’m upset with how I was treated after I explained what the issue was. You offer no customer support when there is a problem; you just immediately assumed I was trying to fraud you, say one thing then do another, and then in response to this review, you wrote “if this was indeed a real transaction…”. The shipping zip code didn’t match the billing one because you don’t ship to CT so I was having it shipped to my in-laws’ who live in NY. You had my phone number and I had called several times to resolve this. It’s a shame because the reviews you have for in-person service are fantastic and I love supporting small businesses and we are huge collectors but you have to be better with how you treat online customers especially when you are doing these checks because credit card companies are equally as sensitive. I’m sorry you were wronged in the past, but I did not do anything to deserve to also be victimized for others wrong doings. I may have bought the $900 from another Amaro’s in NY, so if that portion was in error I apologize, though I did already have an account with you for this store so I thought it was the same one. ————— An absolute nightmare to try to order online. My card was flagged and cancelled due to their fraud checks on my order then when I tried to reorder the bottle with my husband’s card, I even called and confirmed what happened and Matt seemed understanding but then he immediately cancelled my order. If you need to buy from this store (I had even bought almost $900 worth of bottles just a couple months ago so was not happy how I was treated this time since it was not like this the first time), just be aware that it can potentially cause credit card problems and this store will then treat you like you’re a fraudster. I completely understand doing your due diligence, but they made getting this present for my husband an absolute nightmare (I was able to finally get it elsewhere, thank goodness) and offer zero customer support when you try to resolve any issues because they are so paranoid even though their methods are what caused you problems in the first place (they do state they will charge a higher temporary fee to ensure you have a valid card, what they don’t say it’s via separate amounts of less than $1-$2, which is how true fraudsters run stolen cards to test, hence where the issue came from for me).

The best of the best in Park Slope. Amazing selection of Vermouths and related liquord. If you're lucky you can find a bourbon tasting on a Friday evening.
