Went in looking for an Italian wine I had recently and really liked. They had it and made recommendations for 2 out of the 3 options, and not the more expensive one. Add seamless delivery, and I'll happily go back. Lots of shops closer to me, but this one's better by far. P.S. It's clear the negative reviews are from dishonest, suspect folks trying to pull one over on the staff.

I’m attempting to offset the strange and mean-spirited one-star reviews by leaving my own five-star recommendation. I’ve only ever known this vintner to be knowledgeable and courteous. If you’re in the neighborhood and need a solid wine merchant with decades of knowledge, this is your place. Check it out!

Upper East Prices not for me a bit pricey but they have a nice selection of spirits

Great recommendations on wine, the guy there really knew his stuff. Excellent selection of liquor as well. A pleasant surprise to find this place walking through Manhattan. I brought my ID and had no issues at checkout.

Adam Yentis and his amiable staff are so helpful in discerning the best bottles for dinner parties, hostess gifts, food pairings, etc. The neighborhood (between Lenox Hill & Carnegie Hill) discovered Bottle & Soul years ago (15?) when they made quite a splash on the UES. But if you are just passing through, make it a point to visit this little gem over all the other wine shops in the area, each of which seems to sell the exact same brands/common vineyards (borrr-ing!). While Bottle & Soul stocks certain of the more-common wines, they also have so many new, fresh, interesting bottles of wine from cool, niche vineyards! Adam and his staff speak so knowledgably and understandably about the characteristics of these provocative little vineyards, and are a guiding hand on the shoulder when it isn't so clear what I am looking for. Top marks!
