I don’t know why Mrs. Turk would describe Lucky’s as an eyesore. Maybe she prefers the liquor store on Tompkins. That one looks like they haven’t touched anything since the 70’s. Lucky’s is clean and has a very knowledgeable staff. It has the original brick walls, it’s well lit, I don’t know what more can you ask of a liquor store. Maybe she was feeling a bit nostalgic that day, and longed for the good old days.

Very lovely staff. Ownership changed more than a year ago, so people talking about anything of the contrary are outdated. Love Denise and very reliable options of wine/liquor for those want. As well well as lottery!

I swore this place off because of an issue I had with them months ago. Tonight I was being lazy and decided to give them another chance instead of walking to the other liquor store on Myrtle. I truly do regret my decision. A young black guy was there tonight. He took forever to help me because he was eating and he spoke no words. He used his hands to answer every question. He then got an attitude because I told him his service skills sucked. He shoved my bottle of wine and crumpled up my change into the plastic window. I don’t care how late it gets I’d rather douse myself in gasoline and set my body on fire before I’d ever set foot in this ghetto place again!!!!
