Update: 10/28/2024 I am so fortunate to live so close to Sussex Wines & Spirits. Had to purchase a bottle of vodka and once again, really appreciated the wonderful service from Jose. It bears repeating - what sets Sussex apart from other wine and liquor stores is that the staff NEVER tries to upsell you. They have a fabulous inventory to choose from and I highly recommend stopping by. Conveniently located a few blocks from Grand Central Station. Update: 6/25/2024 Had to pop back into Sussex to purchase a bottle of Casamigos Reposado to accompany the Casamigos mixer set I purchased at Williams Sonoma. But I digress... Special thank you to Pedro (again) and also Constantin, who did a beautiful job wapping my bottle (see below photo). I continue to have great success with Sussex Wines. Highly recommend and they are so conveniently located to Grand Central as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have been a huge fan of Sussex Wines & Spirits for almost 30 years (Don't do the math). Not only is their store beautifully laid out, but the selection is always great and always changing. I wanted to give a special shout out today to Jose and Pedro (who were both super helpful with their recommendations). One of the reasons I continue to shop at Sussex is the staff, who are knowledgeable and never try to "upsell" you which is pretty amazing in today's climate. I highly recommend!

Went here the other day as they carry the full line of Heimat NY’s excellent locally-made fruit liqueurs which can be tricky to find (Sussex is identified as a retail partner on Heimat’s website, under the name “New York Craft Spirits”). Picked up three different bottles. Spacious, well-laid out store, great selection (esp local NY products), good prices and helpful, super-nice sales staff. Will definitely be back!

Best liquor store in NYC! They do delivery and have an amazing selection of high end wine and spirits. Gin, tequila, absinthe, burgundy. You name it! Constantin and Pedro are very helpful

Ever since they moved down the street the wine selection has been incredible. Having Constantine around is the best value added to Sussex. He is knowledgeable of the different vineyards out there. It is a joy getting a little bit of his expertise in wine
