Customer reviews present a generally positive image of Embassy Wine & Spirits, highlighting the "really great service and selection." One reviewer specifically mentioned the staff's ability to help them find "obscure bottles," indicating a broad and diverse inventory.

The manager of the shop is particularly praised for their knowledge of wine, contributing to a positive customer experience. Reviews state that the manager is both a "spectacular person" and very knowledgeable.

However, one review notes an instance where an employee closed the store early, despite there being ten minutes left until the posted closing time. This suggests that while generally positive, customer experiences can vary.

For those seeking a liquor store in New York City with a knowledgeable staff, particularly regarding wine, and a good selection of products, Embassy Wine & Spirits is a strong option. Customers seeking obscure or hard-to-find bottles may find this store particularly helpful. However, customers should be aware that closing times might not always be strictly adhered to.

I was rushing to make it to closing time, there were 10 minutes left until closing, but the employee decided that he had a shorter day today

Really great service and selection, even helped me find some obscure bottles i have looking for. The manager of this wine shop is a spectacular person. But more important things is, he is knowledgeable about his wine. Overall it is a great liquors shop.

I've been shopping here for over 2 years and they're the best. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Ask for Patrick who is the “General Manager” of the store and a professional sommelier, he knows his wine and champagne and never steers you in the wrong direction. Even if you don't find a particular bottle in their inventory you can ask them to order from the warehouse. They have a great selection of wines and varied in range and the two gentlemen(mexicans) working there are obviously experienced and enthusiastic which made for great service. They are extremely helpful and willing to help pick out the perfect wine for any occasion - this place is a definite must for finding the right wine! Great for any occasion and budget type. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who are more than willing to provide a recommendation. Don't be afraid to ask questions - the associates are wonderful and will often ask other team members for their recommendations if they are unsure. Plus they deliver same day which is great!!!

Rude customer service. I walk in and ask how much they sell their Clase Azul bottle for and they respond $146, which is fine but then I told them it sounds high and that on first avenue a few blocks up the same bottle goes for $109 . The store clerk then snaps at me and says I should go buy the bottle in Queens then b/c its $90 there. I responded that I was not talking about how much the bottle is in Queens but on first avenue a few blocks up and he continued to snap at me. This place use to be my go to but after the attitude I will never go back. Stay away.

My first true introduction to the world of wine where I learned about the Italian greats like Barolo, Brunello, and Amarone, was at Embassy wines and Spirits also some very interesting indigenous varietals like Aglianico, Refosco, and Nero d'Avola. Embassy wines and Spirits provided me the opportunity to explore the hundreds of wine regions throughout the world. I am still coming into contact with wines from new varieties and new regions on a weekly basis, so I'm still learning wine like everyone else! Knowledgeable Sommeliers and very helpful and kind staff. Excellent customer service. This is the place that iI definitely recommend
